RRR [a] is a 2022 Indian language drama film directed by S. S. Rajamouli who wrote the film with K. V. Vijayendra Prasad. Produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments. The film portrays N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris. It is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), as well as their struggle with the British Raj.
Rajamouli encountered issues related to the lives of Rama Raju and Bheem and connected the relationship between them, thinking what would have happened if they had been friends. Arranged in 1920, the plot explores an unwritten time in their lives when both rebels choose to delay before they begin to fight for their country.
The film was officially announced in March 2018, with the launch and filming of the main film starting in November 2018 in Hyderabad. The film was shot all over India, with a few sequences in Ukraine and Bulgaria. Film soundtrack and background effects made by M. M. Keeravani on cinematography of K. K. Senthil Kumar and edited by A. Sreekar Prasad. Sabu Cyril is a filmmaker while V. Srinivas Mohan directing the viewing results.
With a budget of R550 crore (US $ 72 million), RRR was originally scheduled for the release of the theater on July 30, 2020, which has been postponed several times due to production delays following the COVID-19 epidemic. The film was released on theaters on March 25, 2022, and opened with a positive review from critics on theatrics and screenplay. With ₹ 240 crore worldwide on its first day, RRR broke the record for the highest opening day ever received by an Indian film. On the weekend of 25–27 March 2022, the film took first place in the world box office for a total of ₹ 485 crore.
